WESTLIFE heartthrob Bryan McFadden was last night facing a
sensational court battle over sex and drugs allegations.

In a libel writ issued in the High Court, blonde lapdancer Amy
Barker, 29, claimed the pop star...

BARGED uninvited into her hotel room on his stag night just weeks before his marriage to Atomic Kitten Kerry Katona.

HAD sex with her although she was reluctant.

TOOK cocaine during the boozy stag do in Ireland and boasted: "We are
gods".

PAID for her to fly back to England where she was given a ?5,000
pay-off to buy her silence.

MADE her out to be a liar in a magazine article after her story
emerged in The People.

And in more dramatic allegations, Amy says the Westlife manager and Pop Rivals star Louis Walsh later visited her at a lapdancing club and complained that she had cost him "s***loads of money".

McFadden, 23, will strongly contest the allegations from mum-of-two Amy, whose devastating writ issued on Friday will spark the biggest celebrity court battle of the year. If he loses, the action could cost the star hundreds of thousands of pounds in damages and costs.

But more worrying for the dad of two would be the loss of his reputation as a squeaky-clean devoted family man.

Amy, from Wakefield, West Yorks, hit the roof after McFadden gave an interview to the magazine Heat in which he poured scorn on her allegations about the stag party.

Now she will fight in court to prove the star destroyed her reputation.

Amy had told The People how the singer bedded her while his bride-to-be Kerry was at home nursing their baby daughter Molly.

Amy and another lap dancer were hired to entertain Westlife on a coach trip from Dublin to Limerick on Bryan's stag night in October 2001.

As she danced for McFadden, Amy said she had to warn him to keep his hands to himself after he became "touchy and suggestive".

But once at the hotel, she said McFadden barged into her room, barely able to stand.

She revealed how she was pressured into having sex with him and finally agreed.

"We started off having sex and after about a minute I pulled away andperformed a sex act on him," she said.

"I didn't enjoy it and it was over in three minutes. He was only concerned about his own needs.

"There was no feeling to it. When he finished he got up, didn't look at me, didn't say a word, and walked out."

Later the star begged her not to tell a soul about what he had done. And two weeks later Amy was sitting in the London office of a top showbiz agent signing away any rights to talk about the sordid encounter for ?5,000.

Within weeks McFadden married Kerry, 22, in a fairytale ceremony in County Meath, Ireland.

But Amy broke her contract to speak out about McFadden because she said she wanted to expose his hypocrisy.

And she launched her libel battle when he told the magazine Heat that her claims were "rubbish".

Asked by the magazine if Amy's version of events was true, McFadden replied: "No. All the stuff that followed was ridiculous. It was like I was watching a different world."

Asked why, if he hadn't done anything wrong, he didn't speak out earlier he said: "Because it's one person' s word against another's.

"You can't do anything about it. David Beckham went through it as well with Victoria when he was wrongly accused of cheating on her."

And when asked if Amy was even AT his stag night he said: "It's s***. I don't want to talk about it."

McFadden denied having sex with Amy, insisting: "If it were true the Westlife boys would never speak to me again."

Furious Amy claims in her writ that McFadden's public insistence that it never happened destroyed her reputation and made her out to be a liar.

Her writ alleges that after she perfomed lap dances for the star on the stag party coach he became "assertive and overbearing, boasting that "in Ireland we are Gods" and consuming cocaine and alcohol.

She "reluctantly" had sex with him when he turned up "unannounced and univited" at her hotel room.Amy goes on to allege that the worried star later "apologised for his behaviour, expressing concern that his conduct might become public knowledge".

Amy - who is also suing publishing giant Emap - claims that the Heat article dismissed her version of events and portrayed McFadden as a doting husband and dad. In the interview, McFadden says he and Kerry have always "trusted each other 100 per cent."

Amy claims the article suggests she "maliciously invented" the fact that McFadden had sex with her on his stag night.

Referring to the cash used to buy her silence, her libel writ asks why "Westlife were so concerned to silence the claimant that they offered her ?5,000 not to mention that she had sex with the second defendant (McFadden)".

The outcome of the court battle could be a turning point for McFadden's career.

If he wins, the multi-millionaire will keep his image as a devoted family man. If he loses that reputation will be shattered for ever and he could end up hundreds of thousands of pounds poorer.

Amy's allegation about Westlife supremo Louis Walsh is that he visited her at the Purple Door lap dance club in Leeds the month after McFadden's stag party.The writ claims that the star-maker complained she had cost him "s***loads of money".

A Westlife spokesman said: "We deny all the allegations and we will defend any action made against Bryan McFadden".

When The People confronted Louis Walsh over his involvement in the legal moves by Amy he denied knowing her. He said: "I've never met the woman, I never want to meet the woman. I don't know where this nightclub is. Her story is absolutely one hundred per cent untruth.

"I hope you're taping this coz I know what I'm saying, it's a lie."

Amy told The People: "I am extremely upset by the article, which has
caused distress both to myself and my family.

"I can't go into this any further because of the legal proceedings"

Top media lawyer Graham Atkins of Campbell Hooper solicitors said: "I can confirm that I have issued libel proceedings against Emap and Bryan McFadden on behalf of Amy Barker."

16th August 2003 Westlife star opts for a low key approach to his big day

Another Westlife wedding… but a vastly different approach. Soon-to-be hitched, Westlife star Shane Filan has Vowed to shun Hello!-Style wedding when he gets married in six months. The Boyband hunk does not mind being outdone by Nicky Byrne in the publicity stakes when he ties the knot with fiancée Gillian Walsh on December 28.

Shane (24) does not plan to do a deal with any of the big selling glossies and has chosen a low key affair near his hometown county in Ballintubber abbey co Mayo, followed by a reception in Ashford castle. Ironically, both destinations were selected by James bond star Pierce Brosnan for his Hello!-sponsored wedding, although this time will not be a money making exercise.

The ceremony at Ballintubber will also mimic that held by his older brother Liam when he married his long term Girlfriend Patricia Tahney in the same venue last year. "It's my wedding day and I don't want to make money out of it," said Shane.

However, He was quick to add, "That should not be a criticism of Nicky's wedding. It is his decision everyone must decide for themselves." Speaking about bandmate Nicky Byrne's French wedding to Georgina Ahern outside Paris on Saturday, Shane said, "There is no correct or wrong way that to do and his wedding will also be fantastic."

Planning his nuptials well in advance, Shane said, "When the ceremony is over, I will come out with Gillian and they can take photos, and I will talk to the press. Many people from the media supported me and Gillian over the past few years I hope if they have their photos, then they will leave us in peace and let us simply enjoy our day."

Unlike the massive €300,000 affair at the weekend, which was organised by wedding planner Tara Fay and PR woman Joanne Byrne, Gillian is doing most of the footwork for her big day.

However it is understood that the celebrity couple have already invited 500 guests - mainly family and friends - while there was 400 invited to the Chateau!

But unlike Nicky and Georgina's bash, which featured Nadine Coyle and Ronan Keating, the couple have said their wedding singers are unlikely to be famous. And the style stakes may not be as high ad Georgina and Nicky's Irish designer outfits.

For her future in law brother to be's wedding Gillian opted for a gorgeous black bodice and skirt creation while Shane donned a simple black morning suit. Ballintubber is favourite spot for couples in the west of Ireland because of its beautiful and secluded setting and Shane has high hopes that a low fog will romantically over the near by lake. To ensure the atmosphere is to his liking he has hired a special team to illuminate the scenery around the venue.

Gillian is a cousin of Shane's Westlife colleague Kian Egan and all three of them grew up in Sligo together. The couple who have been dating for five years got engaged during a holiday in Dubai organised to help Shane recover form his glandular fever last year.

He popped the question on a beach near the Royal Meridian Hotel, where they were staying, and after Gillian accepted he said it was like "having 50 number one records all in one go."

The duo is notoriously inseparable, spending every second with the each other, even when the Westlife star is in studio and touring. Shane has often spoken of his homesickness when separated from his Maugheraboy bride-to-be.

Westlife star Nicky Byrne's wedding blessing in France was cursed by
a comedy of errors.

The 25-year-old singer and new bride Georgina - daughter of Irish PM
Bertie Ahern - suffered a string of setbacks to their £1million
chateau bash.

The coq-ups that beset the reception in the sleepy town of Gallardon,
near Chartres, included:
- Ronan Keating turning up late after getting lost in Paris.
- Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle also delayed after losing her passport.
- Other guests like Pop Idol judge Simon Cowell held up at the chapel
as the marquee wasn't ready on time.
- Fireworks costing £30,000 fizzling out like a damp squib.
- Crates of Red Bull also had to be flown in at a cost of £7,000 because it is not sold in France.

But some friends were less than sympathetic after paying their own
way out - the happy couple pocketed £400,000 in a magazine photo
deal.

They wed earlier in the week in Ireland
One guest said: "It was close to being a disaster."

WESTLIFE: PREVIEW INFO ABOUT THE NEW ALBUM:
News Publication on, August 12th.

Westlife will be release their 5 th Album ,out 10 th November.

This New Album will be include 12 New Songs, Which the first Single
is " Hey Whatever " which will be release at 15 th September.

Recorded in Uk ,this new album have some new tracks ; " Feelings" is
a new Westlife Ballad :) , Be with you is a cover of Mr Big which
westlife sang in Unbreakable Tour 2003 ,and other possible tracks
is " when a man loves a woman" we don´t know if this track is a cover
( because is possible say a michael bolton cover) but we don´t know
official, this new album still not finish ,in the first weeks of
September, westlife will be finish that.

16th August 2003 Kian gets dad into the swing of things ...

Westlife’s Kian Egan is not the only member of his welI known family to evoke the ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ of a crowd. When it comes to performance on the golf greens, his father, Kevin, is certainly par for the course.

Kevin was certainly ‘Flying Without Wings’ at Strandhill Golf Club when he won the Captain’s Day prize - the most prestigious prize in the calendar of the golf club.

However, some success might have to be attributed to his famous son after all. The source of Kevin Egan’s success, which was his ability to drive the ball well for the duration of the competition, was down to his Calloway driver club that was a gift from his son.

Calloway, the world-renowned golf equipment manufacturer, was aware that the Westlife boys are keen golfers so they sponsored a set of woods for Kian Egan and the other members of band. Kian then presented the driver from the set to his father.

The golf kit manufacturer’s PR move has paid off in spades – or more importantly clubs - as this is only the fourth competition that Kevin has won in his 25 years in Strandhill Golf Club.

"Kevin was very happy with his play from the tee and he attributed his success and his new found status to his new golf club, courtesy of his son and Calloway.
"It was a very significant achievement for Kevin considering his record in club competitions and the fact that he plays a handicap in the low twenties," said Leo Logan, the Captain of the Strandhill Golf Club.

Playing in a ‘World Of His Own’, Kevin was in a four shot lead going into the second day of the two day competition when he succeeded in shooting a net 59 score in the qualifying round.

Many spectators thought that he would not be able to hold it together for the final round of the competition playing off such a handicap. However, they were proved wrong when Kevin with some assistance from his caddie, Crockie Kelly, overcame his nerves.

Knowing "What Makes A Man," Kevin didn’t lose his cool and held on to win the Captain’s prize by half a shot from Michael Keane.
"I was surprised, I didn’t think he’d hold it together. I thought that the chasing field would catch him up but he’s obviously made of steely stuff," added Mr. Logan.

Or maybe, quips Leo, it was fated that Mr Egan would win his captain’s prize as both Kevin and the club’s Captain were born in the same town of Ballinamore in South Leitrim!

Pop beauty Samantha Mumba is set to team up with hearthrobs Westlife for a TV spectacular based on the hit musical Grease.

The top Irish acts will also team up with a host of British chart toppers, including sexy stunners Girls Aloud and Pop Idol’s Gareth Gates, for the new ITV music extravaganza.

Actress Amanda Holden is also believed to be staring in the Grease TV special, which will be aired on ITV in November.

Samantha will perform the song Look At Me I’m Sandra Dee from 1978 soundtrack, originally performed by actress Stockard Channing.
Shane Filan will step out as John Travolta’s character Danny Zuko to perform Grease Lightening with Westlife

“All acts will dress up and perform the 24 songs from the soundtrack,” said a source. “It’s going to be a hugely colourful pop fest of top acts performing one of te most popular musicals of all time. The show looks like it will also be released as an album with Polydor Records.”

Westlife will be returning to their roots to star in the show as the musical was the inspiration for forming the band.

Band members Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily first began performing together after appearing in a local presentation of Grease in Sligo in 1996.

The three helped form a band called IOU and Shane’s mother Mae managed to get them an interview with Louis Walsh.

The band was renamed Westlife by Walsh and Bryan McFadden and Nicky Byrne joined before the band was catapulted to international fame.

Two down, three to go. Westlife's Nicky Byrne became the second
member of Westlife to get hitched when he married his childhood
sweetheart Georgina Ahern in a registry office in Wicklow Town. It
wasn't the glitzy occasion that you would expect a Westlife Wedding
to be. Nicky wore a red cap, jeans and a T-shirt, Georgina also wore
jeans and a black and white top. The couple, who were mobbed by
awaiting fans as they arrived, opted for a low key wedding but a high
octane post wedding party in a fantastic French chateau. The lovers
wanted to wed in France but French laws states that couples must be
resident in France for 40 days before the wedding date for the
ceremony to be legally binding.
In typically Irish style, the party was a sight to behold. Ronan
Keating arrived with his beautiful wife Yvonne Keating. Nadine Coyle
and Kimberly Walsh from Girls Aloud also enjoyed the day, as did
their boss Louis Walsh. Over 400 guests partied till down in the
beautiful Chateau D'Esclimont, an hour outside of Paris. The 16th
century country house provided the perfect setting and despite the
French surroundings, the party had that unmistakable Irish flavour
with gallons of Nicky's favourite triple Guinness on tap.
The 24 year old lovebirds partied with Westlife band members Bryan
McFadden, Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily, Shane brought his
fiancée Gillian Walsh and Kian was with his new girlfriend, Hollyoaks
actress Jodi Albert. And Georgina's dad Bertie Ahern the Irish Prime
Minister, dispelled the idea that politicians don't know how to party.
Nicky & Georgina fell in love with France on a trip to the world cup
in 1998. He said they chose France as a venue for the celebration
because of his anonymity. "We get freedom and privacy to really enjoy
ourselves over there because not that many people know who I am," he
smiled. The young newlyweds plan to buy a house there soon. "We are
looking around for property in the South of France at the moment,"
said Nicky. "I would love to have a place there." The couple will
spend most of their married life in their new house in Malahide.
Nicky and Westlife are set for a familiar ascent up the charts soon
with their new single Hey Whatever is released September. They are
also putting the finishing touches to their new album, which is set
for a Christmas release, rubbishing rumours that the band are about
to split. Nicky said "I think there is honestly about three of four
more albums in Westlife, maybe even more, who knows?"
If the band were to break up, Georgina certainly wouldn't be crying,
it would mean more time to spend with her handsome new hubby.
